Tinolang manok is a favorite dish of every Filipinos. It is usually served during rainy days including special occasions. The taste and flavor of this recipe makes it wholesome, and makes it one of the best Filipino dishes. Let us learn how to cook tinola.
For this recipe you need the following ingredients:

1 whole piece of chicken cut into pieces
1 green papaya cut into cubes
1 ginger root, crushed
1 tablespoon garlic, crushed
1 onion, sliced
3 – 5 cups of water
1 cup of sili leaves (chili leaves)
1 chicken cube
fish sauce
salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1 – Sauté garlic and onion till brown in a casserole.
Step 2 – Add chicken and garlic. Stir fry it with fish sauce until the chicken turns brown.
Step 3 – Add 3 cups of water and 1 chicken cube. Bring it to boil until the meat is tender.
Step 4 – Then add papaya. Simmer it till it soft.
Step 5 – Add the sili leaves. Serve it hot

TIP: Choose a mature ginger. And make it sure that you crushed the ginger before you sauté it. It will give a delicious flavor in your tinola soup.
